What about the quality of the silk, finishes? I have a little hard to believe you can compare a Breuer tie to € 75 and the ties that look not to pay mine to € 10.

Indeed, the qualities of silk and finishes may differ. This is felt especially in the maintenance of the tie: Where some ties will tend to curl, others will not budge.
Moreover, it is certain that "brands" as Breuer, who are not where very little advertising, are safe bets since they rely heavily on word of mouth, and thus on the quality of their products.
Note that ties at € 75 are certainly not as good as Charvet ties of € 125 in ready-to-wear up to more than € 200 in custom ...
Anyway, a certain perspective, there are some "articles" on which it is better to save some money, even reinvest in other key parts.

In fact, the ties to 10 € are not silk, but microfiber, plus it is a wide choice of Italian neckties handmade in Como, in the purest tradition, these manufacturers produce for the biggest brands. Segni & Disegni, 40 to 59 € for 6 folds ties.
There's something for everyone and for all prices. After I agree with the man chic, it is better to buy cheaper and able to change more often, unless you can actually afford!
